JKP Education takes up arms against illiteracy!

In inspirational scenes, hundreds of girls from JKP Education took to the streets earlier today, to raise awareness for the importance of education. It was an organized literacy rally as a part of Literacy Day. Armed only with inspirational signs, vibrant speech, smiles and a motivation to elevate the aam aadmi (and as importantly, the aam baccha), the students travelled to the surrounding neighbourhoods to raise awareness on the importance of literacy.

The local communities in these areas have sheltered lives and illiteracy is extremely high, and they do not realize that they are amidst complex social problems. Rallies like this are important because they direct the people to the value of education and the blight of illiteracy. When the villagers see and speak to these vibrant,  well-spoken and intellectually sharp students, they feel compelled in making sure that their own kids attend school. That in itself is the very first, and one of the most important steps in combating illiteracy. In many cases, the students were even giving practical demonstrations to the adults on how to read and write! Often, young village kids would join the rally, and wield banners with important messages. It was an empowering and awakening experience for all who came into contact with the rallying students.

One event organizer exclaimed:

Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj is not only doing a great thing by providing free education for these kids, but these kids are also going out and making a difference!
