Day 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 of Swami Nikhilanand's discourse at Hanuman Temple of New York

Swami Nikhilanand, disciple and pracharak of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, giving a 15 day speech at Hanuman Temple of New York. Here is day 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Speech 9 of 15 by Swami Nikhilanand, disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, was an eye opener for most people who believe they have been doing bhakti when they pray to God for less suffering and more worldly pleasures. Which does not fulfill your desires permanently. To elaborate on this subject, Swamiji gave the example of a yogi who multiplied himself 50 times, to marry 50 princesses, who thought would give him everlasting happiness. Ultimately he had felt he was in the same state of dissatisfaction in which he started in. This shows how worldly happiness is not what we should ask for, instead we should be like Kunti who asked for suffering in every step of her life, which would only bring her closer to God.
On the special occasion of Janmashtmi, Swami Nikhilanand ji, disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, gave a heart warming speech on the descension of Shree Krishn. He talked about how Krishna descends on the earth planet once in every kalp. Krishna did not take birth on this earth planet, he descended in his full form, and upon the wish of Devki he became a little baby. He spoke about how Krishna did not act like Supreme God while on this earth planet, He acted like a young boy and performed many leelas with Yashoda Maiya, gwalbals and gopis. Yet even if we were present at that time, since we don't possess Divine senses, we would not have believed that Krishna was supreme God, we would have thought of him as a mere young boy.
In Part 11 of 15 of the 3 Paths to God series, Swamiji, disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, spoke more on the path of Gyan and the path of Bhakti. He said that to be on the path of Gyan you must need high qualifications, and that it is extremely hard to stay on the path, and this path also depends on Bhakti. Swamiji says that the Path of Bhakti is much easier and there are two types, one is Prema Bhakti that is given to us by God, but we haven't received it because we are not qualified. To be qualified we have to do the second type of Bhakti, Sadhana Bhakti. In Sadhana Bhakti we attach our mind to God and we don't ask for worldly things, because that would mean asking for maya. Swamiji talks about how in Bhakti we must have relationships with God, and the different types of relationships we can have, the 5 types of Bhao.
Continuing his Speech from yesterday, in Part 12 of 15, Swamiji, disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj,  talked about the conditions in order to do Bhakti. He said in order to facilitate in our Bhakti, Shree Krishna descends with Saints on this earth planet to perform leelas, which help us in our Bhakti to him. Swamiji tells a great story of Naradji witnessing a scene where baby Krishna is tugging on Maiya's saree to get in her lap, while Maiya is saying not right now and is trying not to look into his eyes. This story shows Vatsalya Bhao and Swamiji says that after this Bhao comes Madhurya Bhao which exceeds all other Bhaos. He will explain more on Madhurya Bhao tomorrow.
In speech 13 of 15, Swami Nikhilanandji, disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj,  continued to speak about Madhurya Bhao. Madhurya Bhao is also known as Priyatam Bhao, where you love God as your beloved. Madhurya Bhao exceeds the four previous Bhaos, as you have a much closer and personal relationship with God. The Gopis of Vrindavan experience Madhurya Bhao and with total selflessness. These Gopis were the only ones allowed in Maharas, even Maha Laxmi could not gain entrance. Shivji had to take his female Gopi form, known as Gopeshwar Mahadev to enter Maharas. That is how great Madhurya Bhao is. Swamiji also talks about the 3 classes of Gopis in Madhurya Bhao, and the difference between all three.
In speech 14 of 15, Swamiji, disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj,  talks about the practice of Sadhana Bhakti, he tells us to attach our mind to God and how to do it. On the path of Sadhana Bhakti you have to pick a form of God you can do Bhakti to. He says we don't need to worship many forms of God because we can only attain one form, and so we have to choose at one point. There are two ways to do Sadhana Bhakti. one is Karma Yoga which is living in the world but your mind is attached to God, and Karma Sanyas, where you renounce the world and attach the mind to God. Swamiji says that we must do a mix of both, but mostly Karma Yoga. He explains how we should do meditation in Sadhana Bhakti, by sitting comfortably and alertly. To do meditation for Sadhana Bhakti, there is no restriction of time or place, it does not have to be pure, just quiet. Swamiji also explains Roop Dyan (forming an image of Radha Krishn in your head) and will continue to do so tomorrow.
